tutorial owl wedding wreath

I made this wreath for my sisters wedding.
The owls are made with the tutorial from B.D. Designs
I created two owls in marriage style using my husbands old colbert and my old white blouse for the wedding dress...
Than I used flower stapels to attach the owls on the straw-wreath.
I used lavender to this wreath and lavender colored ribbon. I hot glued the printed text that I first cut out and made some sherpes from... The rounding edges will do when you take a pencil and roll it up..
I used a laserprinter and photo paper. Its nice and glacy...stiff enough for this job...
Put some flowers on with hotglue and... Finished!
It took me about a little hour to make this.

In the past weeks a lot have happened
on 26th of september Rolf and I had our 12,5 years anniversary!
We celebrated that with friend and family on the 1 th of october! It was an anwesome party... The weather was GREAT! It looked like summer...

I also heared that my job is stopping because of recession.
So I have to look for another job...
Shame because I loved my job as a youth coach!
I had a few swap these weeks and I've got real nice swaps back...

Just wanna let you all know that I am back from holiday in france!!! We had great weather and a beautiful time there... Soon I will let you all enjoy with me as I show you the pictures and tell the stories...!!!
My garden is so awesome now!!! We have a great amount of apples and pears in the trees that are good to eat now... The picture is from three weeks ago... show you the one of this week in my next blogpost!!!

After some rough days I am sick, having a bad cold, at home now...
Yesterday I couldn't speak, my voice was gone!!!
So working was not an option!!! Today is still not great, but it's getting better. Last weekend I had the bridalshower of my little sister. It was a great day. On friday we had sister noght with my other sister and had a great night togehther. Movie night and chatting with eachother...We planned to do this more often!

Saturday we had a plan to bring her to her friends and she did not noticed until we arrived at the place. All her chickies where there! We had a Tuktuk drive and lot's of fun. After that we went to den bosch and they had a workshop pole dancing. And as a closer we went eating in Den bosch at Roels And then a 2 hour drive home in the rain....Sunday was a busy day and I was still having a cold.
I made some stuff for the teacher of my DD. He became a father!!!I made a little bear for his son...

Emma had her birthdayparty last wednesday. Alle her friends where there... She had great presents!!! We ate pancakes and made beautiful creations of shrink plastic...

These are the goodby presents for the teachers. After the summer the kids are going to a new school EBS de FonteinThis week they will say goodbey at their old school and for the teachers I made a peronal handcarved stamp with a noteblock that i made myself by using several tutorials
I used white glue that I bought at Wibra(for the dutchies)

Daan and Fien had great fun on the surfboard in the water behind our house!!! Great way to cool down in the past days!!! Yesterday it was up until 35 degrees celcius!!!

Emma also enjoyed the swimming and the waterpistol!!!

I created a slingbag for Ilona at dutch swapers for the goldmine swap... We had to go and find great stuff a the thrift store for €1,50... You could create soimething from it...and I had to!!!

I love to make handcarved stamps out of earasers! They are cheap to buy and awesome to work with!!! I made this robot for my sons friend. My pile of stamps is growing fast.. soon I will show you more of them.

At the teachers birthday celebration the kids gave their teachers a jar of home made jam. I made some cute deks and... labels on it with my handcarved stamps!!! They loved the gift. The fruit is coming from our own garden...so really made and let grow by me( and my heavenly Father that makes my fruit grow!!!)

I also made a grab dress for the fancy fair of the new school where the kids are going to after this summer. they go to the first evangelical basicschool of the North of the Netherlands! EBS De fontein starts in september. We had a fancy fair to raise money for some play ground climbing stuff on the square of the school.

I had a table with all kind of handmade stuff to sell. some cute elastics for girls hair, dolls, handbags, totes etc..

This is made for the vossenjacht of june... I made a picknick messangerbag that is lined with insulation so it willl keep stuff cool! I think it turned out great! Gonna make myself one for this summer!!!

Last weekend from friday until monday we where on Opwekking! A dutch conference where more than 60.000 people come to seek God, sing together, camp togehter and Praise our Father in heaven!
There where 18.000 campers on the place!!! Awesome!
On Saturday there was the biggest flashmop ever, that's this little film about!

I have a lot to tell you! last weekend we had our first weekend with the church; connect weekend! It was great! On saturday daan turned 10 years and our friends Bertus and Anette had their 12th anniversary! dubble party! I also gave my workshop to 10-15 women. We started our first card for the deck of me 2011-2012. Some said they where not creative, but al the cards turned out great! I started a new blog for the deck of me. so if you want to join... hop over HERE

The weekend of april1st we where in Disneyland Paris!!!
We had a great time there...Here some of the 900 pictures I took!!!!

This picture is taken by Fien, our youngest DD!! You also can see my infinity scraf that I made out of 4 sleeves of two sweaters! I also made two skirts for the girls of the shirt... Pictures will follow soon!

THESE UPCYCLE POMS ARE EASY AND great!

I had a cake workshop about two weeks ago... It was a great evening in our church with about 20 women who joined.
We all made a beautiful cake and learned how to work with fondant and coloring it, making nice creations on it...
I LOVED it!!! The cake has got as theme: 12th anniversary. At march 26th it is 12 years ago I married my dear husband! So... a second wedding cake???!!!! Great way to make one. You perfectly can freez the cake... so no problem!

I also sent my softie swap for swapoth... It is a little kokeshi doll painted on fabric and at the bag there is space to put a loveley note in it... The receiver has to stuff her own dolly...

I recycled my rugby shirt. I did not wear it because it went crowling up. So.... It turned into a sweater for Fien! it's sooo awesome when she wears it.

I also recycled my old DEPT skirt. It was hard to say goodby to this great wearable skirt, but when wholes are falling in it...So it turned into a bag. I used the reversible bag tutorial by very purple person. I put two inches on the fold, so it went wider
.. Loved it so much that I also made my little sister one for her B'day!

For my vossenjacht swap I made a real dutchy style teacosy... It turned out great I think! i also made other stuff, but that I will show later, but my teacosy I wanted to share with you all.

Knofje blogged about her little bear friends... I could not resist making two cuties!!! There's a pattern and a great tutorial!!!

Look what we have here... Fien has got her glasses now! She is soooo proud to have them! When we went to the shop last week to seek for a nice pair of glasses, she had deffenetly her own taste... Lucky for mommy that I liked them too and daddy liked them also!
As we where finished, we went out of the store and she stoped:"Where are my glasses now???"I had to tell her that we have to wait aboout 1 week and then we can pick them up... She talked about her glasses all week and today was her moment to get them!!! She put the pink ones on and kept them on!!! Just see taht little face....

I made different bento this week...The first is our Yummie pasta salade with Loads of garlic in it...The second and third have pita's filled with a corn, grilled pepper, cucumber, creamcheese, italian herbs, garlic and salade... Yummie filling.

Finally my computer is newly installed!!! I had so much troubles on it...
I couldn't update my blog because of that! But, here I am again.
Last week we had to start up our normal life again after one week of wintersport in Savognin!!! We had a great ski holiday there!

Finally after some troule with blogger i have acces again!!!!
I created a lot last weeks...

Noa's dress is finished and she was wearing it proudly as prinsess on her b'day!!!
it looked great on her! I also made her a little heart notebook Wanna now how to??? look here
I also made a little bracelet from handmade beans created from paper.

My son had a kids party from a friend. he wanted me to make a special gift for her. he had a great idea: "Mom, make her a toiletry bag." And so did mom. We created a personalised bag filled with great girly stuff.. Charlotte LOVED the bag!!!! She thanked me the sunday after at sunday school!!! So great to see kids being happy with special made gifts!!!!

Inspired by the awesome work of bykris I created these cuties!!!! The card for the baptising of our friends... and a little notebook for myself...toooo cute to give away sorry!!!!

A heavy last week

Last week was heavy. Emma was sick, she had a dubble otitis. She had a very high fever from saturday until thursday.Thursday we had the funaral of my hubby's grandpa. For the kids it was the first time they experienced this. It was so good and they where so brave!!! we are thankfull for all hose people who where there! It was a heavy day!

At friday fever went down and faded away...
I thought she could go to school one day My husbands grandfather is burried and the kids went also to the funeral. It was the first time for them to that week, but it was not an option. i made the bento's for the kids and also hers. She was laying on the couch and I asked her what she would eat. She asked me if she had a bento too... And mommy made hr one!! She was smiling and enjoing the food of her bento..

the picture below is the bento I made; wraprolls with luncheonmeat and creamchese, star liver sausage, star cucomber. cherry tomatoes, a little pig made from bread and cocos cheese, bread squares withcolored sprinkels,oreo's and snack crackers.

This was the bento for me and my Hubbie! i made two of these.... He liked it very much!

tomorrow's bento's are finished. I made mickey mouse heart banana bread and a egg salade heart sandwich, some raisains, tomatoes,mini pepperoni sausage, rice crackers and cookies... also they get a little box with fresh mixed fruit to go. I freezed some fruit last summer and put it into their boxes.
I had a great set of 7 boxes this week at Aldi.Great size for bento's and fruit!!!!
Here is a picture of my home made egg salade...

And... the recipe ( sorry first in dutch I will translate later!)
It tasted great!!!!
Eiersalde italianoIngrediënten
Voor 10 boterhammen

•4 eieren
•2 a 3 eetl. Mayonaise ( of halvanaise)
1 groot bekertje crème fraîche
•peper/zout
1 ½ theelepel bruchetta
Gemalen knoflook poeder
2 theelepels italiaanse kruiden( oil & vinigar)
Bereidingswijze Kook de eieren in 7 minuten hard. Kruimel de eieren fijn met en eisnijder of vork.
Meng de mayonaise, crème fraîche en de kruiden door elkaar.
Voeg de eieren erbij en zet het één uur in de koelkast.
Doe het in een goed afsluitbaar bakje dan is het in de koelkast zeker 3 dagen houdbaar
Lekker op brood, sandwich, toast e.d.

English version:
Italiano eggsalade for 10 pieces of bread.
4 eggs
2-3 eatingspoons of mayonaise
1 cup creme fraich
pepper and salt to your own taste
1,5 ts bruchetta
molded garlic
2 ts italian herbs

Cook your eggs for 7 minutes and after cooking crumble the eggs in a large bowl.
I used my egg cutter, but you also can use a fork.
Mix the mayonaise, creme fraiche and the herbs together and add the eggs.
Put the salade into the frich for 1 hour.
You can easy keep the salade good in tupperware for at least 3 days!!!!
Nice on toast, bread and so on...

And finally I show you a little bag I made to go with the birthday dress for the daughter of our friends. I cannot show you the dress yet... but it is made from the same fabric as the bag...

Last friday daan and I had the Yummie bento filled with pasta salad!!!! It was really Yummie!

The recepi I found on leukelunches.nl
I found so much great idea's there that i printed out all the ones i loved, and bundled them in my own Bento lunches book...The paper are laminated so when you are working on the bento you can easy whipe the pages clean! Also handy for the kids...They love to chose from the book...

Last week I received my swap from my swappartner Roosje... STUNNING!!!! I have received so much and such beautifull stuff in the envelope...THANK YOU!!!!

sad news

What had to be a beautiful day to celebrate, turned out into a sad day, January 8th... My parents in law had their 40th anniversary yesterday, but in the afternoon the call came that my mother in laws father was going bad. they had to go to the hospital and he died yesterday...
So this week we have a funaral...For the kids the first time they will have one...
Old grandpa, as the kids called him has turned 82 years.

A few weeks ago I was reading an artikel at the blog tea rose home about bento's. I did not know what bento's where,but had to find it out for myself...Sachiko told her stry about bento's in her yought, but that is not what my kids would eat at school...
It fasinated me so much after googeling out for bento's... What effort people took to make those beautiful bento's!!!! but how could I make bento's with real dutch food...

That's what I was looking for a good blog with good dutch inspired food for my kids bento's! Some tips and idea's I used to create the first bento's and... WITH GREAT SUCCES!!!! The kids loved it. So much fun to hear those happy stories and see the faces that said:"yummie mommie, when do we get a next bento???"
Now I wanna show you the result of my bento's. Tomorrow they will get a bento to school all 3! After xmas leave from school a nice filled bentobox( I use their bread boxes that we bought in legoland! They are great because tey are deep!)

Tutorial crochet neckwarmer
I started with this tutorial that I found some weeks ago on Ingrid's blog...

45 losse met haaknaald 4
1ste rij: 45 vasten
2de rij: 5 losse vastzetten om de 5 vasten -tot het eind -
3de rij: 5 losse, vastzetten in het midden van elk boogje
en zo door tot hij lang genoeg is..

chain 45 (hook 4)
first row: 45 single crochet
2d row: chain 5, 1 single crochet every 5sc, till the end
3th row;chain 5,single crochet in the middle, and so on
untill it 's the lenght you want..

For the neckwarmer I crochet a scarf with these measurments:
52x26 cm or 20”x10 “

I used a crochet needle 4,5

After finishing I chrochet single crochets in the loops. So that’s why a scalloped side comes.
In the middle of the scarf I put a button that fits in the loops...To find the middle you have to fold the scraf lenght wise and pin a needle on the right place.
Easy and quick also great as a present!!!!

Sight from our backyard this winter...

At first I wanna wish you all a happy and blessed 2011!!! I hope that you all will have a creative new mood in this year! I have been away for a while in blog-land! Sorry for that. I didn't had some inspiration for blogging lately. A new year with a new blogging periode!
The great period started for us at xmas! At christmasnight we had a service. So awesome! 5 young men where singing a beautiful song of the gaithers... i wanna share this with you!
We had a great day at my sisters home with our family, had a great diner together and presents under the xmas tree...
I had asked for a dopper...
and i got it!!!! I love this little bottle instead of my always using pet bottle. This one enviorment green!!!! Just a week before xmas my hubby and I went to Barcelona and had a great weekend there!I share some great pictures with you...

For the girls w e brought a flamengodress home... they loved it!

Some great moments of the last week of 2010... ice skating in the centre of our hometown... the girls standing on a one iron iceskate for the first time...

We had a great amount of snow and ice so with a great winterwalk with friends and our girls the sledge...

Yesterday I came home from work and my husband told me there where two envelops for me!!!! Yes, my Swapbot receivings from the vossenjacht and the big fat envelop came by post!!!!

The bigfat envelop came from vengy i loved alle the cute stuff in it! The most beautiful bracelet and earrings... SOOOOOO nice! And she said it was her first time swapping... Well done girl!

the second envelop came from Bowiena from zo mooi zo hip. She made also a big party for me on this vossenjacht!

Last week I also received my xmas hangers from Harineke she made 3 cuties for the xmas tree!!!!

So much cute stuff on my doormat in one week!!!

At my Dad's b'day we saw eachother again! She made me a great 2011 calander( I used her pictures!!!)It was our PIF present to eachother....

I also made this sweet bodywarmer for Fien... I used the pattern you can get on madame Zsazsa Daan made a pillow for his best friend with textile markers... Mam made a pillow and he had an awsome present just because they are friends...

My friend Miranda became mom again of a daughter this time! I had to make a little reversable dress for her! I made a real dutchy dress in red,white, blue and orange for her little princess!!!

Last week Fien turned 5 years!!! On wednesday it was her b'day and she had her treat at school. We made cute and Yammie bread hedgies!!!!
Here is the how to.... at thurseday it was Sint maarten and all tthe weekend it was fiens birthday party with family... And... at Sunday she also had to swim for her diploma B and she did it!!!!

October 19th, 4.30pm the snoozer gets of and we have to get out of bed!
At 5.15 pm we are in our car to go to Nieuw Niedorp about 2 hours drive from our home. We have to be there at 7.30 pm! But what are we going to do today???
well I will tell you!
A few weeks ago I sended my favorite "Boerenkool"( cabbage-potato stew with smoked sausage) recepi to Unox. You could win to be present at the first harvest of the "Boerenkool". Well that's what I did!!!!
We arrived at the farm early in the morning and had a GREAT day!!! I will show you some great pictures. The first are taken by Rutger Geerlings the photografer

I made this teapotholder with cinnamon for my colleague. It was her b'day and I wanted to make someting for her...
It's an easy DIY project!
I also made a little tea wallet maching with it...a great tutorial for the wallet is found on Christy's blog.

teapotholder tutorial

take two pieces of fabric sized as big ( a little larger so it will stand great in the middle)as your teapot.
2 pieces of fiberfill( to put between the fabric) a little smaller as your fabric.
Stich 3 sides of your fabric and leave one side open. Slide in the two pieces of fiberfill (batting) and take out your cinnamon pouder. Put about one or two teaspoons cinnamonpowder between the fiberfill and stich the open side of your fabric.
then stich some lines... I made a little hedgie on this. Then you first have to stich the outlines of the hedgie when you closed all sides of the fabric.
I later painted with fabric paint the brown color on it!
FINISHED is this easy but great gift!!!! I also made this potholder for my swapparner nancy!
Great gift for christmas, birthdays or just ....

It has been quite a week this week...
I worked a lot and had some great crafting thingss finished!
Last aturday the second hockey field has been opend by Maartje Goderie, the dutch hockey star! The kids had her signature... emma on her hockey stick and daan on his hockey ball! PICTURES not to forget!!!!
Emma and daan were so proud that the took it to school to show! How much are people indicated by football! is this taken at foorball? NO!!!! HOCKEY!!!

I finished the tulip pants for fien... here you can find the tutorial and pattern! AWESOME!The owl I saw at megbud3000 on flikr! I loved it so much I had to mae one on fiens pants!!!!

I finished my cuties for swapbot "Vossenjocht" for october. I had to use the words given in the swap announcement and... I almost used every word! I hope my swap partner will like these cuties!

Today after I came home from sport and Fien getting from school... The postman( woman) came and there was a present for me!!!!

WOW!!!! I was featured again on craftgossip with my pillowcase jumper tutorial!!!!
Such a surprise to see an email in my box...

As promised earlyer... the bread recipe.

625 gram whole wheat flour( 325 gram) and flour 300gram)
400 ml water or milk
15 gr fresh yeast or 12 gram dried yeast
1 teaspoon salt
a dash of oil ( I use walnut oil) or liqued butter

Put the flour in your kitchen machine and add the yeast. When you use fresh yeast first solve it in the milk or water. Best result is when you solve it in handwarm water.
Than add it to the flourmix and keep stirring. than add the salt and keep stirring.
Add the oil or butter and stir.
After that put a little flour on the mix and let the dough rise/swell for 40 minutes under a tea towel that you first made wet.

After 40 minutes mix again the dogh with your machine and repeat the riseing/ swelling part again for 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes stir it once again and take out the dough, roll it over and put it in a loaf tin or cake tin. dash a little flour on top of the bread and let it rise/ swell for 40 minutes under the wet teatowel again.
after that 35 minutes in a prea heated oven at 220°C.
To keep your bread fresh and nice store it in a dry teatowel and you have a great taste on your bread the next day!

After a 3 weeks beiing back from France I have been working and creating! And I had to update all of you!
My parents came for a weekend and we went walking in "Barger veen" A beautiful nature reservate near by.
We had a great walk and made beautiful pictures.Ilove the spider!

I told you all last time my sister "D" is getting married! She asked the girls to be bridalmaids. A reaction from Fien: "I can't be aunty... my shoes are to smal and I can not walk on them, my feet are hurting in them..." She was SO serious and dissappointed! My sister told her she would get new shoes and a new dress, not the same as last year when my other sister got married! It was such sweet reaction and she was So serious on it....

I also created a lot again... First a little bag from a baby jeans! the elastic in it was solved so no use for it or... YES! It turned out te be a little bag!
Had seen cute bags of old jeans on a market in france and thought it was cheaper to make myself one ....

A friend of us is pregnant and will get a baby girl! Nice to know so you can make PINK baby presnets!!!! Here's my Bitty Boots pair!!! You can download the pattern for free on Heather Baily's blog!

i also made a skirt from an old skirt of myself...
aslo finished the library bags for Daan and Emma. Today they used it fr the first time...
Easy with the library card hooked on the bag so they can not lose them! and always have the card with them when they go to the library bus at school...

Last weekend Fien was at the Neighbours. There she had some great home baked bread. She loved it so much that I asked for the recepy. It was easy with a great result. This morning I made the bred and when Fien came from school she loved the warm home made bread!!!! Soon I will translate the recepi and share it...But first the picture of the bread...Shame you can''t smell it and taste it!!!!

We are back rom our holiday in France! Here some pictures to share with you...

We had a great time on camping les valades in coux et bigaroque
The perigord noir is a beautiful area to be! We have been in the france paper "Sud ouest" aslo!!!!
Lot's of day trips made and beautiful places seen! time flies! We are back in the Netherlands and life starts tomorrow at work!
29th of july my youngest sister called and had a great announcement...
She's been asked to marrie her boyfriend!!!! So romantic! he asked her at the house near Gordes that was used in the great and romantic film "A good year."

30th of july was my b'day at home!
I was surprised with beautiful earrings of swarovsky!
My parents in law gave me a beautiful hand bag of cognac colored leather. Selma sended a nice surprise a little keyring felt flower that I put on my working bag!
oh by the way... This is my summer eye catcher!My husband took this nice picture!

This is Emma's birthdaydress. She was trying it on today and loved it!
I love the fabric choise! It's stenzo fabric and the pattern is from Portabellopixie

This little navydress is recycle stuff! I used an old poloshirt of myself, it was almost new, didn't fit well to me... So I took an old dress off my DD and traced it for the pattern... Some ribbon and a aplliqué...voilá!

This is my first fused plastic bag -bag...
I found this tutorial and had to try! I still had the lovely bird plastic bag and found it great to use! It's soooo cool t redo and repurpose things!

These dresses are the invitations for Emma's birthdayparty!

Tutorial soap hanger

I just found out how to make a quick and easy soap hanger.
Nice little gifts for a teacher, mom, friend....mine will be teacher appriciation gifts. The kids will go to school for only 3 more weeks so... Time flies!

Here is what you need:
- nice block of soap (I used marseille soap)
- a rasp; use the small part
- some water
- ribbon, wooden, glass or any kind of beads
- a sillicon mall; I used ice cube makers from Ikea!

Scrap some soap off the blok

Drop a little( really a drop) water to the soap and mold it with your hands until it's a ball that feels like clay... It has to have that much water in it that you can put it into the mall...press on well and make the surface shiny with water on your finger....

Take the soap out, be carefull it cracks easy!
than make the form shiny with water... It can be bumpy if you did not mold it well enough.

Take a wooden pin and slowly pull it through the soap so you get a hole...
Now you can use you soap beads and create a hanger....Be creative!!!!

Yesterday the girls had their woodday at school. We went with a horse car into the woods as indians! I made the girls an indian dress that they loved for that day!Mom was with them as a helping parent so I took these cute pictures. Only I was so bushed last night...that I was hanging on the coutch and watched tv. But also made these cute bracelets...during the moviewatching...
Yes I know always busy!

I love to make these cute flowers and do not have the inttention to stop!

When I was at the market this morning I bumped in to this cute bag! It's a fuchia colored bag, my favorite color! I knew it was so much a "ME" bag that I had to buy it, and it was only €12,50! SOOOO cheap! The kids are so much enjoying there trampoline! My father in law called me last week that he had boght Emma's b'day present already... It was a Trampo!!!! That weekend we had o pull it together and they jumped around al time!

After thinking out a pillowcase jumper for Fien I made one...
And the result is great!!!! and so thouhgt Fien! I also created a bracelet to her ourfit and she loved it!
And... I tried to make a tutorial...and you can download a printable version!

Pillowcase jumper tutorial

Take a good fitting trouser
Fold it leg to leg.
Put it on paper and trace it.

Measure the length of your girl from sholder until between her leggs.

Draw the length that you miss in right length to the top of the trouser and use a bowl to create the armholes. Put it to your trouser pattern on your paper. It will look like this ( see picture) Fold your fabric and put the paper pattern on it. Cut it two times! One for the front and one for the back.

Stich the right and the leftpart on the pink line togehter. Now you create a front and a backside

Close the leggs in the middle. Stich the pink line at both parts so there will be a left and a right part.

Close the sides...

Now your pillowcase jumper will be like a jumper.
Make a tunnel as wide as your ribbon is at the top of the bodice part and stich it nicely.
Then put the ribbon through it with a saftypin.
If you like make a ruffle at the end of the leg.

I made myself a bagorganizer. No more bags in the room on the floor...

I have tried to make you a tutorial...My fisrt one...

What you need…

• Strong fabric ( I used curtain fabric)
• clothes hanger ( I used one for children clothes)
• sewing machine

Measure the hanger

and cut the right shape...

and make a little seam at the top

Seam the sides and the curved sides of the fabric so you clothes hanger will fit in it and hold the fabric well.
Seam the smaller fabrics that will make your holders for the bags. Size them for your own bags!!!

Them pinn them on the large babric and sew them... I let the first overlap the second and so on...
If you like make some applicé on the holders....

And this will be the result...

The girls love to create, just like mom!
On a free wednesday aftrenoon we started a using op scratch of fabric!
I draw a heart, the girls glued fabric scratch on it and voila! Great result!

On thurseday emma went to look for her violin teacher and hear what size of violin she will need... She starts playing violin finally after almost 2 years waiting...
She was so exited!
20th may she will have her own violin and her first lessons!!!!
We will see if she likes it. As she does...after the summer holiday she will go on!

And mama... She created also....

Last saturday daan had his first tournement for hockey! the team played even 4-4!
Saturday afternoon emma had to swim for diploma B. She was so ill. trow up several times that day but wanted to go! She id it so well! Sick or not she has got her diploma B now!!!!

I am completly crazy about summer stuff...
I started to create new autfits for the girls..
Here are some of the already finished summer cloths.This one is made by the pattern Gracie by Sandi Henderson.

The teckle apllication is from the free pattern by Ottobre you can find it on their blog or site

This is the tunica I made by the awesome pattern and tutorial kirsten made.
I used the awesome fresh Stenzo fabric... emma wears it with the trousers my mom made last summer for her... It is PERFECT matching! Shame it is no summer weather yet! I think I will make one for fien also!

This is a birthday present for Ditte, Emma's fiend who has her b'day party next week.
I started the tradition of giving something selfmade with her birthday last year, so for a year now I make handmade presents and they ask me now for it... Ditte told Emma she wanted something I made... Now it is the artbag I have made... I also created some little girls bags...I can show you the one for Fiens friend. She had her birthday party yesterday...and loves the Tilda bag.The first is the one for Noa.

At last I created these head bands. the pattern and tutorial came from Larissa's blog THEY WORK!!! I am comlete crazy about this simple solution!!! In about 15 minutes you finish these covers for your headband... I found some real cheap ones that fit great, but are not the right color! So Problem solved!Now I cut along with the fabric for the summer outfits covers for the headband!

I Loved these dresses and jumper so much that I decided i would buy the pattern... As I looked around I came by the website of Willemijn, her store... She sells these beauties in the netherlands!!!!! That ment a lot to me, because I could start soon.
And I could start soon!!!! Two days after ordering I had the pattern at home!
Now I am almost finished... Only finding the right buttons is hard...

This week I am at home. Free from work! Did a lot of creative things!!!This card i made for selma 's mom she had her b'day!

The kids enjoyed the snow. Together we made a snowman!
Fien loves to dress up with great result!!! LOL!
Monday night we had a lampion walk in Emmen. The lampion parade had 3600 lampions!!! A record is set! Because the record in the guiniss book, was less. Only this won't be in it, but Emmen did it!!!! There was also a fire spitter! Awesome!!!

And I finished the xmas presents for my sisters...they will receive a handmade card set of 6 cards...vintage shabby look!

A perfect xmas skirt for myself!!!! Yes, finally I created someting for myself... I also made a little one for Fien because I had some fabric left...

Great news today! Emma may go for her swimming diploma A on January 9th!!! today she got the paper that shows she may go for it!!! We where so proud on her!!!

Just before the weekend started I found this awesome book at the bookstore!!! Couldn't resist buying it!!! It so full of inspiration! On the way to my parents I looked it over so much!
We had an awesome weekend! We went to my parents...
First we had a wedding on friday! Than at saturday we went to the winter efteling! That was awesome especially for the kids!!! Grandma had told them already about the efteling... they had never been there. So All the things where new! Emma and fien also went with mom and da in the bobslee ride!!! WHAT A GIRLS!!!! HEAVY!!! Mama didn't almost dare to go in but... I had to! And Yes we SCREAMED!!!!!

Today we went to my sister and brother in law... They had their birthday! And YES! My tilda doll was welcome!!!! my sister loved the doll and the other presents we bought for them.

A new week started again!
Sinterklaas has left Holland and now we can make the house up for Xmas!
The kids had all their presents for Sinterklaas...

So happy they where with all they've got! My girls loved their baboushka's I made for them... only they think sinterklaas made them... LOL! what a trofees,not only at home, but also at daddy's work, mommy's work and at grandpa and grandma's house...
Mama got cute clear stamps, stazon ink, and a bias maker... Awesome gifts!!!

Grandpa played Sinterklaas and had a friend to play Zwarte piet!For those of you who don't know Sinterklaas just look HERE!

It was a great week, but I am glad it is over now....
I also made my sister a tilda doll for her birthday! It´s an angel in brown... Found myself a new way of doing hair on a tilda doll and I love it! I use whool instead of the expensive tilda hair!!! a knot of whool is about €0,99 and I can do so many tilda dolls with it I can't figure out how many but ... a lot!!!!!
I love the way the doll turned out. It is also the first one with a sweater!!!!
Hope she will love it as much as I do!?!

Yesterday it was "Sinterklaas" party on my husbands work.
Sinterklaas was there with "zwarte pieten" all the kids got their present!
There was also a make up artist! She made the beautiful butterfly on her face!

I showed you all the awesome skirt of used sweaters. Yesterday night I made one myself for Emma! used a sweater that was bought very long tme ago by my sister and that I took over and was on the attic for i don't know how long...
But now i't's a skirt! Today she was wearing it to school and all moms where talking about it! So much fun!!! The collar is the waistband...

Yesterday night I started making an owl bag.I had seen it by googeling on the internet at Ellen's blog the long thread.com
Here you find the tutorial.I used the same base, only did not put the sides in the bag. The first one is for my daughters friend, she will turn 6 next week and emma has to go to her birthdayparty!
Mama loved the result sooooooo much that I made one for ourselfs also!

I made a little tilda bear! The bear is a present for a little baby... I love the way the bear turned out! So sweat!!!

This afternoon fien and I made her lampion for Sint maarten next Wednesday.
She made a little ladybug from a 0.5 liter plastic bottle...
SOOOOOOOO cute!
She was so happy with it, that she was walking with it all afternoon. she almost took the lampion to bed...LOL! She 's so full of her birthday next Tuesday( november 10th) She will turn 4 than!!! First day at school!! Wow time flies. Not a little girl anymore!

A lot to tell

From 22 until 24 th of october Rolf and I went to Paris!!! Just the two of us!
Awesome time we had and such beautiful autumn weather!
I was totally bushed after the few days, but enjoyed it so much!

We have seen most of the highlights! And... had our favorite coffe... STARBUCKS!!!

After quite some walking we found a Starbucks and had to go for a moccachino coffee with a chocolate cupcake!!! HEAVEN!!!

I also bought the Tilda book Noel...That's the book with the cutie snowman in it...

Fien has said good by at kindergarten. She goes tos chool next week whe he is turning 4 years! I made a treat for the kids in her class with a mini muffin and a hankey... The kids loved it! She also made a tea for one pot with ceramic paint for her teacher.

For my mom I made the little Tilda slippers.

Today I had great inspiration for sewing. I made a balloon skirt for Fien and a dress for her! The dress is from ottobre( the same pattern as the Roos 3019) I made a winter vesion of the summerdress pattern!
Remeber last summer, I made one for Emma...

I found a great blog with nice challanges!

They have a great challange now DDC#29... perfect match!
I made this little matchbox for the challange! the size of the matchbox is 5 cmx 2,5cm! Funny to see how mutch you can puton a matchbox!!!!

I also made the memoboard as a goodby present for our nanny.
Fien is turning 4 soon and she will leave the nanny...
it turned out well with the little Tilda heart and I also made a picture collage of 4years of Fien her life! Fien will also make some art by herself that we will put on the memoboard!

I finished a lot of my sewing projects! the two biggest... the farbenmix fee parka's for myDD!

I finished the little Tilda slof for Fien... i smallered the pattern...Also made the Tilda snowman with PJ's.

And I finished the first "Sinterklaas" present for my DD doll....

Sinterklaas is on december 5th, a national celebration where kids will get presents( sort off SantaClauuse at xmas in other parts of the world)<

My sister married yesterday!!!

Yesterday it was my sisters wedding!
The girls where bridal mades... They looked beautiful! emma and Fien felt like a princes that day...
And my sister... A realy beuatiful bride!
My brother in law looked also beautiful! He had a beuatiful suite with a little surprise in it... their names in red in his colbert... Awesome idea!

Last night we stayed in the hotel where the wedding party was.. And this morning we had breakfast together... We left about 12.00 to Den Bosch and shoped a little... After that it was off home...

Tomorrow it has been 4 years ago I started this blog!!! Come and look for some blog b'day things!!!

I made the ruffle skirt by the tutorial on Tanya's blog it turned out great! Surly am going to make more of these!

Last weekend my sisters gave me the Tilda book winterwonderland belated for my b'day in July...

AWESOME!!!! I could not resist all the awesome dolls I saw in the book and on the internet!
So... This is the first Tilda doll I made. Emma loves it so much... She wants one to! I put it on the fire place. Once I was googeling I found some awsome tilda projects and patterns! So the snail had to be made too.

Wednesday I found this super cool colorbag tutorial made by Anjeanette !
The girls loved it!!!

Today we had Emma's b'dayparty! Will show you pics later...
We have made little aprons that the kids made a drawing on with textile penns. SUCCES!!! After that we made the little cake hearts with marshmellow fondant! It works sooooooooooooooooooooo good, the kids loved the taste and mamma also! Parents of the kids loved the result and Emma.... She was really having her b'day! She had a lot of presents and mom and dad... they enjoyed, because Emma enjoyed( but wat a babbleing of those kids!!! All 4 and 5 year olds...)

I just finished a skirt with the Violet grace pattern. I love this easy and well fitting pattern for my girls!!! it takes less then 1 hour to make one by now... so... just try it!
It's already a winterskirt... And that while the sun is still hot!!! LoL!

Next week Emma has got a birthdayparty and a usual I made a little girly bag! It turned out as I hoped and even more beautiful! The colors of that fabric... I love them!!!
Today I tried to make fondant for Emma's B'day party next friday!
Looking over the internet I found a great tutorial how to make Marshmellow fondant! And it tastes YUMMIE!!!!
it turned out great!

for the dutchies: I used about 3 boxes of powdersugar and 30 big marshmellows bought by Super de boer... for the crisco i used margarine, rub it over your hands and on your working place...I now have about 800 gram of fondant!

The results of the little cakes I will show after the party!
